Nothing much to like about this extremely expensive but dingy and stingy hotel.

The cosy room and continental breakfast.

    Loved it all

    Superb

    Spacious Heritage suite.

It was a little noisy from the pub next door.

    Very good

We were supposed to be in the old hotel but instead we were accommodated in the motel wing. This was very good value for money for comfort and cleanliness. Location of Central Springs Inn is excellent as it is in town. The garden is beautiful with lots of nooks under trees with tables and chairs.

    Superb

I appreciated being able to check in an hour early as my room was ready. There was plenty of parking and the Inn was only a short walk from the main street of Daylesford. My room was large and comfortable in the older "heritage"wing

Some of the furniture, especially the bathroom fittings, were a little worn and the Jacuzzi bath taps leaked. My main dislike is the use of "power-saver' economy bulbs, especially in such a large, high-ceilinged space, that comlpetely ruins the ambiance. The light is a horrid bluey-white, is impossible to read by and worse in the bathroom which has one small globe far up on the ceiling. There was a four globe(one of which was out of action)heater/light which gave a proper bright light but was too far above to heat. However, that was on a timer and when relaxing in the lovely, large spa-bath it was a big shock when it popped off to leave only the sickly glow of the world-saver bulbs that are so often inflicted on us these days.A false economy.

Whilst I was at Central Springs Inn, there was a powercut, driving wind and rain. The Relief Manager and Manageress were so kind. They refunded the money I had paid for breakfast without any question, they drove me to the High Street and made sure there was a cafe where I could get some breakfast and invited me to sit by the fire through the worst of the gale and rainstorm. Please thank them for me.

    Superb

Good value for money. It was good to find a place in Daylesford that allowed a one night stay and accommodated 3 single friends wanting to share a room and have a bed each. It is walking distance to all the shops & restaurants in the area so we never needed to drive anywhere but to Hepburn.

    Fabulous

It was conveniently located to the function I was attending and to the central area for restaurants and clubs, it was very clean and comfortable, heating was thorough, electric blankets a happy extra. The suite had two ample single beds upstairs where there were bedside lamps and an additional television set. Downstairs there was a double bed and a large bathroom. Wardrobe space was more than adequate.

Very close to Daylesford centre for restaurants etc. Easy parking then no need to drive.

Drab, dull, depressing room (heritage should imply historical, not old, dingy and worn out!) Smell of damp. In need of decoration. Marks on bed cover. Rubbish on floor outside our door. Not worth the money we paid (we often stay in hotels - travelled all over the world, so I know what a good hotel looks like!) Not worth the four starts your site gave them.

Nothing really, the grounds were lovely

Comfy and cosy room with a large spa bath. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to the main street with shops & cafes. Also a short walk to many local attractions such as the botanic gardens and Convent gallery.

Tap/pipe noise from neigbouring room's bathroom was a bit loud late at night.

    Good

The bed was comfortable and loved the choice of pillows.

Poor lighting to the rooms upstairs. Parking bays were very narrow and not clearly marked. The fridge froze our drinks and we couldn't plug in the electric blanket for the single bed without unplugging the tv or heater.
